Herb Library

The Wasatch Herb Library

A practical place to learn herbs one ingredient at a time.

The library is being built as an educational companion to the Wasatch catalog and The Wasatch Book of Herbs. Our goal is to make it easier to understand botanical identity, traditional context, common preparations, sourcing considerations, and practical cautions without turning traditional use into a medical promise.

How to use the library

  1. Know the plant. Start with the common and botanical name.
  2. Understand the tradition. Learn how the herb has historically been used without treating tradition as a medical guarantee.
  3. Learn the preparation. Tea, powder, capsule, seed, oil, or another form can change how an herb is used.
  4. Check the cautions. Herbs can interact with medications and may not be appropriate for everyone.
  5. Choose quality. Pay attention to sourcing, storage, freshness, and clear ingredient labeling.

One herb at a time.

As the library grows, we will add clear educational profiles and reference material that connect directly to the herbs and products we carry.

Educational information only. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, managing a health condition, or planning to use herbs therapeutically, speak with a qualified healthcare professional.
